New Business
We are presently getting low Sulphur fuel at a lower price than state contract pricing - Supervisor Urtz asked the Town Attorney if we can continue with that supplier. Dave Rapke states we must either choose going with State Contract or go out to bid. A motion was made by Karl Matt, seconded by Alan Trombley and carried to open sealed bids for fixed and fluctuating rates for #2 fuels at 7:30 on February 10th.
Ed Davis, Chairman of the Planning Board was in attendance to hear any suggestions the Town Board members may have regarding the modifications being made with the Zoning regulations. Supervisor Urtz mentioned that he would like the setback measurements to be relooked at and to notify the Board of more information on height restrictions for residential and commercial structures.
Councilman Karl Matt announced that he is working on pricing the proposed stone fencing for the park and hopes to have more information by next meeting.
Councilman Kevin Gallagher stated that he was informed that trash collectors can no longer pick up recycling items due to a new DEC law, so these items will be allowed at the highway transfer station as we are a licensed transfer station. The company the Town deals with charges for pickup of CRT's and monitors, so the Town has been separating these items and transferring these items to Utica by the highway personnel.
A motion was made by John Urtz, seconded by Karl Matt and carried to go out to bid for 3500 +/- tons type 3 modified binder to be opened on March 10th at 7:30 PM.
