The regular meeting of the Lee Town Board was held in the Town Hall, and was called to order at 7:34 PM.
Present were: Supervisor John Urtz, Councilmen Alan Trombley, Karl Matt, Kevin Gallagher and Harold VanWagenen.
Unable to attend: Highway Superintendant Bill Baker
The meeting opened with the pledge of allegiance.
A motion was made by Alan Trombley, seconded by Karl Matt and carried to dispense with the reading of the minutes of the previous meeting.

County Legislator Mike Waterman was in attendance. Mr. Waterman provided some maps showing the legislative districts.
Notification was received that speed limit requests were granted for VanTassel Lane and Terra Bella to be posted at 30mph.
The Town has received a quote from Dell for 8 computers under State Contract for just under $7000 which will be ordered soon.
Mickey Dietrich has notified the Town Clerk that he has received some responses for the Needs Assessment and will be compiling the results as soon as all the responses are in and will add some potential recommendations into his report. Supervisor Urtz stated that it is possible that we may be able to get some help from our engineer Dodson & Associates.
A fixed rate contract was finalized with Gateway for energy:
Electric .07494/kWh Gas .499/therm
A letter was received from Ms. Diane Miller requesting permission to put a grave marker at the site of Stephen Cornish in the Lee Center Cemetery. A motion was made by Alan Trombley, seconded by Harold VanWagenen and granted.

There was some discussion on which vendor has state contract for diesel fuel for this season. This will be looked into in order to make a decision.
A motion was made by Alan Trombley, seconded by Kevin Gallagher and carried to apply for a Highway Work Permit for Utility Work (PERM 32) and file the undertaking that accompanies it by completing PERM 1. There will be no need for a PERM 17 or a surety bond.

Ed Davis, Chair of the Planning Board and Paul Phister, Chair of the Zoning Board spoke to the Board about modifications they have been working on to the existing Zoning Regulations. The key topics that were addressed were solar, geothermal and wind power. Additional modifications include setbacks and building/accessory structure height. Board members requested a maximum height be set for new construction/homes which would be in a unit of measure, somewhere around 2-2 ½ stories - this will allow for resident safety for fire protection.
Water Supervisor David Piersall informed the Board that the Water truck's check engine light has been coming on; he had it worked on, but it is happening again. The Board told Mr. Piersall to take the truck to Davidson's to have it diagnosed and to get a quote.
Attorney David Rapke reported that he has met with the City of Rome regarding water rates. There will be further negotiations, but it is anticipated that there will be an increase of some sort beginning with 2015 water bills.
A motion was made by Alan Trombley, seconded by Kevin Gallagher and carried to approve and pay the bills.
