The Lee Town Board held a Special Meeting in the Lee Town Hall to open bids for the position of Park Custodian for the 2013 season.  This is the second time the position was put out to bid.  The initial bid was awarded to Donna Winn Cleaners, but Workers Compensation was not included in the bid.

 

Present were:  Supervisor John Urtz, Councilmen Patrick Hetherington, Kevin Gallagher and Karl Matt.

 

The meeting was called to order at 5:34 PM.

 

Two sealed bids were received:

 

•1.      Donna Winn Contract Cleaners

                        9532 Point Rock Road, Taberg                        Bid:  $8,500

                        All specifications including insurances were provided.

 

•2.      Hillside Seasonal Services

5720 Marsh Road, Lee Center             Bid:  $6,950

All specifications including insurances were provided.

 

Supervisor Urtz also stated that the Town had additionally advertised for individuals who may be interested in the position, this person would ultimately be employed by the Town, whereas no insurances would need to be provided.  Eleven applications were received and reviewed by Board members at tonight's meeting.

 

Board members decided to canvass the bids and applications and discuss which way the Board would like to proceed.  A MOTION was made by Karl Matt, seconded by Kevin Gallagher, and CARRIED to have a workshop following the meeting.

A motion was made by Patrick Hetherington, seconded by Karl Matt and CARRIED to adjourn.

 

The Special Meeting was adjourned at 5:51 PM.
