A Special Meeting to open bids for the Highway Equipment Storage Building was held in the Town Hall, and was called to order at 6:00 PM.

 

Present were:  Supervisor John Urtz, Councilmen, Alan Trombley, Karl Matt, Kevin Gallagher and Patrick Hetherington.

 

Also present was Engineer Tim Hogan, Town Attorney, David Rapke and Highway Superintendent, Bill Baker.

 

The bids received consist of:

 

Base bid:  "Furnishing and installing an 80 ft. by 120 ft. pre-engineered equipment storage building complete with excavation & backfill operations, foundation design, foundations, building components, doors, windows, electrical components and the restoration of areas disturbed by the work."

 

Alternate #1 -"Furnishing and installing components to prepare the building for heat.  Furnish and install above grade insulation (walls & ceilings), as noted on the contract documents."

 

Alternate #2 - "Furnishing and installing components to prepare the building for heat.  Design and install a thermal hydronic radiant heating system to meet the needs of the building.  The thermal hydronic radiant heating system will only include the design and installation of pex tubing, fittings and associated thermal devices, supports, insulation, and the manifold system.  The installed system will be terminated at the manifold."

A motion was made by Kevin Gallagher, seconded by Karl Matt and CARRIED to canvass the bids at 5:00 PM on 3/14/12 with engineer Tim Hogan.

A motion was made by Karl Matt, seconded by Patrick Hetherington and CARRIED to adjourn.  All in favor.  Special Meeting adjourned at 6:13 PM.
