Winter Notices
No Overnight Parking
**IMPORTANT**
The Town Highway Superintendent would like to remind residents that there is no parking on town roadways during the hours of 2:00am and 7:00am. This is in effect year-round.
See Ordinance No.1 of 1984 and Ordinance No.1 of 1985.
We would also ask that during the winter months, residents try to avoid roadside parking throughout the day in order for the plows to keep our roads clear.

Please read this important notice regarding mailboxes and highway law 319.
NOTICE to PRIVATE Snow Removal Operators
According to Section 1219 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law and Section 214
of the Highway Law of New York State, Snow removal operators (Plow
Services and individuals) on private properties may not push , pile or
blow snow out into or across any public roadway system. Those that do
may be issued a court appearance ticket. Be considerate of others.
Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our roadways safe for the
traveling public.
The Highway Department consists of the Highway Superintendent and five full time employees.
In the summer season the workers inspect and maintain all town roads and bridges, repair culverts, remove brush, mow road shoulders, and sweep sand from roads and town streets. They also assist with repairs and improvements in the Town Park and other municipal facilities.
